During May and June 2007, Civil Service Pensions ran HR seminars for employers as an introduction to nuvos and recruitment actions for the new scheme.

CSP Basics for newcomers to pensions administration and personnel staff.
CSP Employer New Scheme Changes for personnel, HR, recruitment & administration staff who require a basic overview of the scheme changes from 1st October 2002, including new entrants procedures, scheme eligibility, partnership pension account and re-employment plus lots more!
CSP After Basics , modularised courses in Joining, Benefits, Family Benefits and Leaving. These courses are for Pensions Administrators, administration and personnel staff who wish to develop their skills further.
Employees seminar and pension clinic specifically designed for departmental employees. A pension seminar outlining the basic topics within the CSP scheme followed by individual pension clinics on a one to one basis with a Paymaster pensions consultant.
Pre-retirement seminars designed to give scheme members near/at retirement age information relating to Civil Service Pension benefits.
In addition, bespoke courses can also be arranged.
Courses will normally be based in Fleetwood, Lancashire. However for larger groups alternative venues, including Client Sites, can be arranged.

Capital Health Solutions (CHS)
Scheme medical adviser workshop
Capital Health Solutions, the scheme medical adviser, deliver regular one day workshops. The workshops are aimed at anyone looking to gain a greater knowledge of the medical referral process and medial aspects affecting Civil Service pensions.
These are intended to:
achieve an improved understanding and awareness of CHS role as medial adviser to the pension scheme
reduce the likelihood of misunderstandings, complaints and delays
give you an opportunity to look at examples and case studies to, help you make timely and quality referrals, and gain a better understanding of the rationale for decisions and recommendations made.
Workshops will normally be held in Coventry. The frequency of workshops will depend on demand. CHS can also run workshops for individual organisations at other locations upon request. Departmental occupational health providers are welcome to attend these events.
