Declared partner for pension benefits – classic plus, premium, nuvos members only
If you are unmarried but have a partner who is not a civil partner they will not automatically receive any benefits. You may nominate them to receive a pension on your death. You must complete the partner declaration form and, together, meet the eligibility criteria for your partner to receive benefits.
If you have a declared partner, their details are shown on your statement. If you wish to make or change your declaration you can find the Partner Declaration form under ‘Publications, Rules and forms’. See also the booklet ‘Pensions for partners’ under the same link for more information.
- Please do not use the Reply form attached to your statement to tell your pensions administrator of any changes to your partner declaration. They can only accept the completed Partner Declaration Form.
Important note - You should not complete the declaration if you are married or have a civil partnership.
