Your pension now
This section shows the amount of pension you have built up at the statement date. This amount is payable at pension age and will be reduced if you take it before then.
It includes:
- any pension you may have linked or aggregated from previous service in the scheme, or bought by transfer from another scheme.
- any added years you are buying
It does not include any added pension you have bought.
Details of your added pension is shown on your Transaction Statement. For more information on added pension, go to added pension
To qualify for payment of a pension, you must usually have at least 2 years' service. If you do not qualify for a pension at the date of your statement, the amounts shown are for information only. If you leave before you qualify for a pension, you will have the choice of receiving a refund of your contributions or transferring your notional pension to another scheme – see ‘Transferring pension funds’.
This part of your statement also illustrates what the scheme would pay to any eligible dependants if you were to die in service (life assurance) See scheme information and click on the name of the scheme you are in.
