Dependant child’s pension age limits
In general any pension paid to a dependant child which starts on or after 6
April 2006* will end at the child’s 23rd birthday at the latest. Pensions
for a dependant child will be paid:

In premium and classic plus – to age
18, or up to age 23 if the beneficiary is either in full-time education
or training, or up to age 26 if they are unable to work due to
disability.

In classic – to age 17, or up to age 23 when the
beneficiary ceases full-time education or training.
A child’s invalidity pension paid under classic is not
affected.
* Does not apply if the original member had already started receiving their
pension before 6 April 2006.
