Transitional protection
If you want to register your pension benefits for transitional protection,
you need to apply to HMRC. The forms are on
the HMRC

form to be used for applying for Enhanced Protection and/or Primary
Protection here, together with HMRC’s guidance notes and
extracts from HMRC’s technical guidance
(as referred to in the HMRC guidance notes). We
have also produced a guidance note to help those with Civil Service pension
benefits complete the form.
