Partners
Partnership pension scheme
There is no provision under the partnership scheme for married/unmarried
partners or dependants. However, you can choose to buy a pension that will
provide income for your surviving partner when you die. If you die in
service, your partner will get a return of your fund.
Death benefit nomination
You can name a person or people to receive any lump sum that we pay when
you die. To do so, simply contact your pension administrator for a death
benefit nomination form for partnership.
If you decide to name more than one person, you can say how much you would
like each person to receive. If you do not mention the share, we will pay
each person you have named an equal amount. If you name your husband, wife
or civil partner, and your marriage or civil partnership then ends, they
will no longer be entitled to any lump sum.
