Civil Service Injury Benefits Scheme (CSIBS)
Civil Service Injury Benefits Scheme (CSIBS) pays benefits to bring your
income up to a guaranteed level if you are injured or killed while on duty.
It may be paid to you or your dependants. The CSIBS rules set out who can
receive the benefits and the level of the guaranteed income.
You may qualify for injury benefits if you are currently employed in the
Civil Service even if you have opted out of the Civil Service pension
arrangements or are covered by another occupational pension scheme. You may
also qualify if you are employed as a casual. The CSIBS also applies to
certain groups outside the Civil Service. You should contact your pension
administrator if you think you fall into one of these groups.
